Using biological control in the greenhouse:

On-farm workshops on identification and application

Starting to use beneficial insects to control pest insects in your greenhouse can be a little intimidating.  Come to a hands-on, biocontrol workshop where you get a chance to meet and handle several of the most commonly used beneficial insects.  Youll learn what they look like, how to apply them, and how to make sure they are working.  Well cover some of the biocontrols for thrips, fungus gnats, aphids, and whitefly, and help you get started using biocontrol in your own greenhouse.

DEC pesticide recertification credits have been applied for.

7 locations around the state. Only $15/person.

These workshops are partially funded by a grant received from the New York Farm Viability Institute.
